Crack the spine and enter The Book Nook.

Welcome to The Book Nook, a little pocket of the internet that is ours to explore. Here, we read books, we leave the world anywhere we wish to and we step in, claiming time as our own. The world is magnificent but it is busy and we run the risk of losing sight of ourselves in the mayhem of responsibilities and advancement. Once the school run is done, the lunch hour has begun, the work day is over and a calm is descending, open a book and allow yourself the luxury of escapism; sometimes escapism is the most effective medication we can take. In books we can find alternative versions of ourselves, we can shape a firmer understanding of our society and we, if lost, can find ourselves again.

All reviews here at The Book Nook are honest, if I dislike any aspect of a book or how it is sculpted, I will share that with you. Ideally you will take my opinion on board but continue to read the book yourself and we can exchange views based on our readings. I am a Tramore based teacher and columnist and from a young age, books have been the opening to a portal. As a young child, the library held a magnificent wonder for me and I would spend hours reading on the bay window looking out over Tramore Bay. Those long summers allowed me to make friends within the eaves of the books and by the end of each summer, I would be changed in some way by those encounters. Those books encouraged independent thought and each one of them are a reason why I became someone who works so hard to instil the love of the written word in others.

Welcome to The Book Nook, from my home to yours.
